Raise The Minimum Wage New York Movement

People Moving 2
Description

The fast-food industry is the largest low wage Employer. Employees work for less than a livable wage. The low wages paid by Fast Food and Restaurant Chains hurt the ECONOMY and COST TAX PAYERS.  If you believe all people deserve their dignity and a livable wage OR that Corporations do not deserve any more hand outs- this is the movement for you.

We are going to flood our local politician with demands to raise the minimum wage. It is important that we are united and clear about our demand. This is the single most important issue affecting all Americans.

  • Click the “Call to Action” letter below and email it to your local assemblyman and senator. We included their email addresses below.

  • A letter to our elected official is step 1- but the best way to make the impact felt right away is to STOP COOPERATING with businesses that are hurting tax payers. Corporations that pay low wages lead to more people on government assistance. We MUST boycott corporations that cost the American tax payer the most. We need to be SMART SHOPPERS.

No more Corporate Handouts-

Employers pay their workers less than a livable wage- employee cannot survive on the low wages. Low wage employees seek GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE. The employees use food stamps, housing subsidies, and welfare to make ends meet. Tax payers are paying the salaries of low wage workers because corporations refuse to pay a livable wage. If Corporation paid all employees a livable wage, then employees would NOT qualify for government assistance. Tax payers would save money and the economy would be better off.

People deserve a livable minimum wage-

Anyone who is willing to work hard deserves to make a livable wage. The American promise is the idea, if you put in an honest day’s work – you deserve an honest day’s pay. The facts are workers are more efficient, work longer hours, and corporations are more profitable than ever- but workers’ pay has declined or stayed the same. The fast food industry, restaurant chains, and corporations generally- have broken the American Promise.

  • Say NO to Corporate Handout!
  • No to Government Assistance!
  • Be DISCIPLINED-NON COOPERATE- BOYCOTT

Join the movement to demand a livable wage and make corporations accountable.
